After kiln drying, lumber and live edge slabs will often have some warpage, cupping, or irregularities, including the rough service produced from milling. Planing lumber is essential to producing a smooth and level wood surface.
We use carbide insert, spiral headed planers for a smoother finish and offer two-sided, thickness planing for dimensional lumber as weill as live edge slabs. We charge $125.00 per hour with a half hour minimum for anything up to 24 inches wide. Anything from 24 to 53 inches wide will be priced per piece. Wood must be at least 24 inches in length.
